Chilly enough for tea

The sun shone bright last weekend, but it’s still deceptively chilly out there! It seems you can live in England your whole life and never learn. 😅 Determined to make the most of the sun on Sunday, Mum and I headed out for a walk among some trees a short drive away.

I had spent the whole morning excitedly researching lovely places to visit when our lockdown eases and we can travel a bit further afield again – think lidos, wild swimming, coastal walks and lavender fields! I really hope I’ll be able to work my way through my new little list this spring/summer, it made me so excited to think I could be back to exploring this beautiful country with friends – and hopefully my boyfriend – in just a few short months.

For now though, we stay local.

I love to see that some blossoms are already out, they instantly lift my mood and put a smile on my face!

We picked up kebabs on the way back to the car, I’m a sucker for a lamb doner. While my mum and the rest of my family went to bed at a respectable hour, I was fuelling up for a bit of a long night. I was determined to stay up to watch – yep! You guessed it – the Oprah interview with Meghan and Harry!!!! ðŸŋ

With my friends in the group chat ready, discussing VPNs and streaming options and snack stashes, I ordered a crepe from Creams to keep me going after I ate everything else in anticipation 🙊 and took a 30 minute power nap just after midnight. After that I sat back, wide awake.

Ready to watch the imperial tea be spilled.
