A very early lunch, Harry’s Dolce Vita 🍄

When the only table available at a much-coveted restaurant is at 11:15am, you just have to accept that you’ll be having a very early lunch indeed.

In other words, yolo innit 😅

And order up a storm.

We had a table outside, perfect for a mild summer’s day and a long, laughter-filled catch-up with a best friend.

Burrata with datterini tomato, basil and
extra virgin olive oil
Their signature dish – Harry’s tagliolini. Gratinated tagliolini pasta with
truffle, Parmesan and cream

Under no circumstances is the tagliolini to be missed!!!!!! It’s truly spectacular.

Truffle arancini – fried rice balls with truffle
and Parmesan
Zucchini fritti – crispy courgette with herbed yoghurt.

Very light and very moreish.

A diva cocktail on the left: a rich buttered rum cocktail with Havana especial
rum infused with cacao butter, sugar & chocolate bitters
And a cocco bello on the right: Wyborowa Vodka, pineapple juice, Saliza Amaretto, topped with coconut foam (and edible flowers)
Tiramisu for dessert number one: espresso coffee and rum-soaked savoiardi sponge biscuits with a mascarpone and marsala egg mousse, dusted with Valrhona bitter cocoa powder

Followed by the main event and the reason we came to Harry’s in the first place: the toadstool dessert.

I mean just look at it! ðŸĨš

It’s just impossibly adorable!!!! And almost too cute to eat.

White chocolate, fresh raspberries, mascarpone mousse, iced vanilla parfait and pistachio biscotti crunch, then the server drizzles warm pistachio sauce all around it

Bellissimo!! We had the most enjoyable couple of hours, catching up on everything we had missed over the past few weeks, including my very eventful week in the DR ðŸĨ°

After all that grub, we needed a good long walk, so went for a wonderful stroll through Chelsea.

Ending up in the lovely garden at St Luke’s & Christ Church, where we sat for a few hours chatting and laughing away. We only noticed the time when the air got a bit chilly and decided it was time to head home, taking in the smell of the roses.
